I got my PEMs from Matt and the crossover and the rear mani was heat wrapped, I was talking to Matt about that and he says to remove it because it'll increase combustion temps. And if it needs to be removed, could I leave the crossover wrapped to keep the TB and the intake tube cool (somewhat cooler)?
Matt was too scared to post it so I posted it.

Header wrap has been known to cause cracks in headers. That'* why you remove it. You DO want to retain the heat in the manifolds. It'll flow faster as it gets hotter, so you can get it out of there quicker. But wrap ain't the way to go.
Dig up my header coating topic. Get that stuff. Works great.

I forgot to mention that it was painted already, it'* black and I asked matt what it was. He said "Good ****". I told him to clarify. He said it'* high temp paint with ceramic. It'* pretty smooth. Do I need to take a pic of them?
High temp ceramic paint will do very little to nothing for you. Strip it off and coat it with that DIY stuff I found.
And yes, I used the paint first to learn that. The stuff I used was the best I could get my hands on. Worthless in comparison.
