i dunno. ill ask about it. ive just stated an interest so far.

guy said that the engine is pristine and in perfect working order. only used high octane gas in it and lots of preventive maintenance, and the interior/exterior is in good shape (its an 03, thats almost a given). this guy was anal about his car. next time i talk to him im going to find out how it happened.

Weird. I replied to this topic, and it isn't here.

Any damage to the axle or trans when the wheel broke off? What kind of impact?

I assume it'* a front wheel that broke off...

If so .. inspect that transmission VERY well before assuming it'* ok..when an axle gets ripped out of the trans at odd angles it'* not usually good.

still a good engine though....and u can part it out...u can make some money back and have the enjoyment of an L67...as long as that trans is ok...

thought id give you an update:

car will be for sale. hes asking 4200 (ill try 4000 cash, if he doesnt get rid of it before i get to it)
front tire broke off with all that entails. my brother is going to look over the transmission very carefully within the next week to check for any problems. i told him to be very skeptical and iterate that its no use to me without the transmission.

he took it in for repairs and when he got the total itd cost to fix it decided to sell instead. cost to fix: 4200.

I would maybe consider fixing it. 8400 bucks for an 03 don't sound bad to me.
