Hi,
I bought an 2001 SSEI yesterday and BOTH back windows are inop. After reading some posts regulators seem to be the common problem but I also noticed the window lock switch doesn't lock out the passenger side switch.
So could the master switch be the problem or is it most likely still the regulators?

Also need the exterior trim panel that is under the drivers rear door and between the rear door and tire (it is all one peice) Any ideas.

with the windows locked, the drivers master switch will operate all the windows, if the driver control doesnt operate teh rears, you have a decent probability of having regulator issues

The the lock switch activated the passanger still has control of their window.

thats interesting... all windows SHOULD be locked out with the lock activated from their resident control, but still functional from the master switch.. this may get interesting, im going to start digging in my manual....

try putting the rear windows up and down from both their local switch and the remote drives switch, do you hear sounds from the doors? a solenoid click? do you hear a motor turning? no noise at all?

When trying the rear window from the master switch you get a light click and that is it. Don't know when tried from their switch.

Both rears will not work from any switch (with lock not activated or activated).

It'* an option set via the DIC to lock all of the windows, except the driver'*, or lock out just the rear. There'* a procedure for setting it in the owners manual.

Okay...so... both of your front windows work. Neither of the rear windows will.
Door locks - do they all work all of the time?
Power mirrors - do they both work?

I ask because I had issues with corrosion on the main wiring harness - I lost power to all passenger doors, on all of these.

Both Fronts Work Great. Both Rears inop with light click noise when trying from master switch.
Door locks all seem to work fine.
Power mirrors work fine also.

It'* a guess on my part, but your back windows could be blocked closed due to a window regulator failure, and the regulator motor disconnected or removed. You'll have to pull the door panel off to find out. The procedure for that is here.

man I just figured out that the regulator is what you guys call the actuator that moves the window up and down. I don't know I guess the word regulator means to me to be an electrical problem. So I guess its the motor that effed up in mine.
