The blinkers and hazzards work fine and blink at the same pase the majority of the time. But if i'm stuck in traffic for a while and in the heat, the left dosen't want to blink.

When it'* heating up you are probably getting a bad connection at a bulb..or a pinched wire that'* not making contact or grounding when heated.
Sorry to say..it'* going to be inspect and look everything over time.

The blinker unit is thermally controled. When it gets hot, it shuts off.
Go with electronic, if you ever put LED'* in, you'll need it anyways
