Electrical problems
I have a 2000 Bonneville that has several things that stopped working at the same time and I am wondering if they all share a common component such as a reley. My door locks, power windows, side view power windows, and the security lock for the fuel tank do not work. Any suggestions?

Welcome to Bonneville Club. What trim level is your car? Please put year, trim level, and any mods in your signature. I'm researching the factory manuals now for any common denominators with the problem that you have.

Alright, here'* a quick check that you can do. Turn ign. switch to "on", then operate the driver door window control switch to "lower". Do you hear a faint click? Do the same thing for the other three doors from each one of the driver door switches. Do you hear faint clicks at the other three doors? I'm trying to establish whether or not all the control modules in each one of the doors is powered up. Now, go to each door and operate it'* local window control switch to "lower" the window. Do hear faint clicks? This is all just a starting point for establishing door control modules. The door control modules receive power from (3) 10 amp fuses in the rear fuse block. Power to operate all power windows is supplied from a 30 amp circuit breaker in the rear fuse block.
Mark, Thank you for your assistance. I tried the things you asked me to try. I don't hear any clicking noise at all from the drivers window control or the individual doors. I also dont hear anything when i try to operate the door locks. I do however, hear the relays in the rear fuse compartment click when I use the keyless entry. This problem started as intermittent, and would last anywhere from a minute to a week, then it would just start to work again. Now it appears to be permanent. Also when the problem started the fuel security door latch would operate when i used the keyless entry, now it is "dead" also. I am not as concerened about that as I am the windows and door locks but thought you should know all the symptoms. Hope that helps
what can anyone tell me about these door control modules? where they are, what they look like, how to replace, etc,,, Im not a mechanic, but play one on the internet. It seems from reading posts at this site, they might be my problem also.
I've always assumed they're in the doors. I'd start with the drivers door & make sure they have power & good grounds. I can send you a wiring diagram if you PM with an email address.
