the flopping around in the drier probably knocked all the dirt out. sort of like beating a rug with a stick but you dsid it with your drier.

take'em to the car wash, spray simple green on them, power wash. Boosty will say throw them in a front load washer. I like my idea better :P

the front load washer will do the same as the drier, except with water and soap thrown in also.

When we've got "new" cars in, I poewr wash them with dish soap (2200 psi!) . Non-destructive to the matts, just needs a while to dry

I do the pressure washer with Simple Green, or Westley'* White Wall Bleach. If they're REALLY dirty I'll use a scrub brush on them. Makes them look brand new every time, even with how muddy the ones in the Jeep tend to get.

BTW way, I have rubber mats in both my cars, I don't know if you're talking about carpetted mats........
