Having a Bonneville would seem easy and speed free to most. (Gramma car right?) Those of us that once got bitten by the mod bug know there is only one cure. More mods.
My latest is PEM'* from Hulkspeed. While doing most of my mods, I strive for the factory look. Currently the blue vacuum tubing is bothering me. Anyway, on with the show. Opting for the porting and ceramic coating was the way to go in my case. A variety of colors are offered.

To this!

The change is very subtle and most people won't notice my manifolds aren't rust looking.
This picture shows the difference in the front manifold

And the change from rust to ceramic coating.

All three pieces

Currently the back manifold did not make it on. The exhaust pipe to manifold bolts refused to give and I have a buddy with a lift and torch. The rear exhaust manifold flows well from the factory as you can see it is tubular in it'* design. There is a difference. I wouldn't say I noticed a huge butt dyno difference. The acceleration is smoother and pulls harder. KR is lower than before. As a supporting mod, this smoothed things out nicely.

It is going on. Need to schedule a little time on the lift the end of this week.

Looking good! I kind of like the black look. If I ever end up doing more serious mods, I would have to choose between the black and silver. Do they make a rust color coating for super stealth?? :P
you should have been on the phone with Bill when he couldnt get that rear PEM on......lots of 4 tetter words.....
and while on the phone Bill jumped in the car and went for a scan right after the install, the PEM'* showed a decrease in KR too
PEM'* look great bud

The black looks much better then the rusted looking ones, i hope to do the same soon on my car since I don't think I can really justify headers. BTW did you already have a set to send in for your core$?

Travis at Hulkspeed found them at a good price for me. I have been looking around for some time, and the 97 manifolds are different than 98. Supposedly they needed to be 97'* to bolt up properly overall.
Randy looked straight at them and didn't see anything out of place. Made me very happy.
Rob..you nag worse than most wives...lol
(I wish Pat hadn't broken the carpet cleaner...(j/k))
