just guessing here... but i think you are just supposed to turn it to the on position, and not start.. then do you see the light?

try disconnecting the battery and starting over...

when you say 4k limit... do you mean rev limiter in park??? that is a GOOD thing and you want that

I asked and was explained this myself... You don't want your engine under extreme loads while the car is idling. The 4000 RPM limit is there to keep you from blowing up. You don't want to blow up do you?

the park rev limiter is still programmed in...that is a protection....you might need a CASE learn

Problem...
1) The car starts...which it isn't supposed to do when I try to start it right after installing the PCM.
2) My 4,000 rpm rev limiter is still there.
3) The security light never comes on.

I tried calling Todd but he'* out of town until the 5th. Do you think Intense acidentally sent me another stock PCM?

Pics are coming tonight.
The car wouldnt start if it wasnt encoded to your VIN reguardless. The relearn with the key is a quick over from start to on, shouldnt start, but I havent heard of bad dmg coming of it.

4k limiter will always be there to protect from grenading the engine in idle

Now on the CASE learn, Im not peticularly sure, since the 97 GTPs dont need a case learn, but Im not sure if the 97 B-ville would be the same. I doubt it will assuming the GTP and Bonneville for the 97 are the same, minus the obvious body differences.

97 B-ville doesn't need it. You have to transfer the module.

I'm still confused as to why I didn't have to do a security re-learn. I'll try what haro suggested in the morning.

I notice a bit of an increase in power, I love the sound though.
