Lowes.

I'd suggest a silicone coupler if you didn't need something that would hold its shape.

It needs to hold its shape because the filter sound like it will be clamped to it.

My silicon reducer from the pipe to the TB doesn't sag. It flexes slightly when my airbox impacts the hoodliner due to motor flex, but doesn't let the intake sag. Silicone from that source will be fine for what you want. You may simply need an exhaust shop to cut you a 2" piece of 3" to insert into one end or the other for backing.

He has a '95 SSEi so he will install the intense tubing over the TB and then install the coupler at the end of the tubing (between the tubing and filter). So it doesn't matter what type of coupler he uses because the tubing itself is flexible so he won't gain anything by using a stiff coupler. Also if he did that he would need 1 pipe that was 3.5" OD 2" long and 1 pipe 3" OD 2" long - not both 3" OD

If I were you I'd sell the 3" ID filter you have and use that money and the money you were going to use for a coupler and get a 3.5" ID filter.

Well i guess i didnt have a choice since i went to Ajusa clicked on the "popular" K&n it says coems in all different sizes i click add to box then continue and all of a sudden its beign shipped .... i didnt get to choose size or anything lol. Its not a longer filter its a oval type one but it serves the purpose soi would need a coupler with one end 3" D and the other 3.5" D.
