Has anyone been watching the news on all the looting going on? WTF is wrong with those people? The news media were actually interviewing looters in a local Walmart, one looter was showing everything he was taking for himself and he was proud of it, big smile on his face and everything. These items weren't food or first aid items they were TV'*, computers and such, stuff that couldn't possibly help them get through a crisis.

Not only stores are being looted, peoples homes and local business as well.

It seems for every 1 good Samaritan there are 3 who are taking advantage of the disaster, it reminds me of the LA riots and the NY blackout, idiots who can't control themselves.

You know if they put as much effort in helping their communities as they do stealing from it they would be able to recover much faster.

Unreal.

Those were my exact thoughts when I saw it on TV, too.

It takes all kinds, I guess.

Pure ignorance. There are some really stupid people out there....

Update....

I just heard a Police Officer was critically shot when he tried to stop a looter, looks like the looter was armed and the Officer never saw it coming.

However, I've seen news footage of officers forcing people to drop armloads of loot at gunpoint. One big policeman had what appeared to be a 12 gauge and was yelling at people to get out of a store... at least justice is being served in some cases.

I agree, to steal for one'* survival is one thing, but to profit off of such a tragedy is terrible. I watched (on T.V.) one police officer standing in front of a store telling people that they can take the perishibles, and medicines, and nothing else. But we have to realize the scope of this, it is going to get a lot worse before it gets better down there. On the news they say it could take months before they have power, and clean water.

Then it'* time to move out of the area. Stay w/anyone that they can. Staying isn't an option when it'* months away like that.

I agree about the food, and perhaps some clothing but not like it'* being done. It is such a disgrace! If these people would help those in need things would get done a little faster. I sure woulnd't want to live in that area at all. The pictures are devastating.

Gas has now risen all over and they are talking that gas is in limited quantities. Gas went from $2.56 to $2.81 in the town I work. Where I live it was $2.49 but the place I got my gas was at $2.45 yesterday and is now $2.55 this morning.

This is gonna get ugly before it gets better.
