The 4T80-E is pretty bulletproof. Compared to the 4T65 anyway. Who knows...someone couldve thrown it into park going 50 or something. Or neutral dropped it 100 times.

no....they're just as much garbage as the 60'*.......I've delivered about 4-5 in the last month.

Had to swap out 2 of them because we ended up delivering 2 bad ones in a row...3rd was has stayed (so far)

GM is cutting their own throat

Chrysler and Dodge has beat them to the punch delivering what us guys (and gals) want.....450 hp in a rear wheel drive with a Mercedes transmission and at a price that is affordable. Their only problem is, and always has been, weight. Good and solid but heavy. Always a trade off.

I like the STS-V with the 4.4 L supercharged 469 hp engine but it'* way too much $$ and the new 6 speed manumatic trani could be another GM F-up.

And BTW.....Throwing it in park just wrecks a 20 dollar part, and requires a flush....and you can't neutral bomb the cars, they have safety'* on them to where if the engine RPM has exceeded a certain RPM then it won't allow the trans to shift.

I don't know much but throwing it in 50 into park will burn out your tranny, I don't car if its a GM, Mopar or Ford. GM has problems with the first FWD trannys but has long since fixed them for the most part.

*Take that for what its worth and anyone with some sence knows that blows out a tranny*
