p.i.t.a. moonroof
alright so the moonroof stops at random points in its travel to wreak havoc and grind the crap out of itself. the noise is definitely a repeated clicking, like when you turn the medicine cap to open without pushing down. Also, the roof will not stop at its designated points, like it will open up to tilt, bypassing the closed position. Is this the motor itself, or an accessory gear that can be replaced? How much of a pain in the *** is it to get up in there and replace that stuff? cost?

I got a motor for just $50 at a junkyard.
Interestingly enough, the junkyard motor i bought developed the same problem as my original motor--the green gear would start jumping teeth, and then the sunroof would not close in the proper spot. I fixed this by using a punch to expand the backside of the shaft for the green gear, which kept it from working its way out and skipping teeth, so i didn't really need a new motor anyway.
