Default headlights

Maybe I'm the only one out there, but I don't mind the DRLs. The only problem I have is at Christmas when we want to view the lights in the park. I am supposed to turn off the headlights, but I can't. If I do what they say to disable the DRLs, does that mean I have to manually turn my headlights on and off? I had a 96 but now I have an 04. I really don't want to jack things up on a brand new car! Any advice?

i believe that you car have the car running and apply the parking brake to disable the lights.

or there is a module that you can unplug and that permanetly disables the DRL. many members have done this on there 96-99 but never on the 2000+ that i can remember

With the twilight sentinel activated, select parking lights on the manual control (turn signal stalk) and the headlights should turn off. I'm assuming that this is at night that you view the Christmas lights.
