Loud popping sound when using remote entry

Default Loud popping sound when using remote entry
When I unlock the doors of the car with the remote, there is a loud popping sound coming from the rear of the car (sounds like its around the gas filler or trunk). Does anyone know why this might be happening. I have/had other Pontiacs with the remote entry and have never heard this before.

its the gas tank door locking or unlocking
