As the title asks, what is your best 1/4 mile run at the track? Just curious to see what our Bonne'* can do, and curious to see how I'll rate when I get a chance to go.

For all you Ohioians and Pennsylvanians I'm not too far from Tompson race track, which is around 45 minutes away. My buddy at work goes there a lot and is trying to coax me to go and see how I do.

Stock cars are about 15.5 sec.
Light mods will get you to 15.
I figure I'm about 14.5
Some 2000'* without intercoolers run high 13'* low 14
With an intercooler, you can get to low to mid 13'*
The fastest is running mid 11 sec.

All assuming you have good traction, reaction and low 60 foot times......and good fuel, low intake temps...etc.

Also, how much a role does elevation(ie. sea level) play on the 1/4 times?

If I go, I'll take out my spare and empty my car out. Also I'll not have over a half a tank of gas. I'll turn my traction control off too. I know it is only temporary. Anything else I should do?

Before you go get a 180* t-stat and drill it with two 1/16 holes to prevent heat shock and to keep the temps from getting outta hand as they can get right up there while the stat is closed.
Also, you can disconnect the front Vehicle speed sensors. When I did it to mine I ruined my 60', but picked up 1.5 mph, and dropped .1 off the e.t., but that was in the 1/8, so you can expect .1 - .3 drop in the e.t, and up to 2 or 3 mph more.
Also, if you can get a couple guys to sit in the trunk while the air ride fully loads, and when it reachs full load, pull the fuse -the back end will be fully jacked up, and will help with the launching.
Also, be sure to bring a couple bags of ice (dry ice preferably) and put them on the SC and intake between runs.
Also, avoid the water hole and don't do a burnout when staging.

If your going to the track, pull your two front wheel speed sensors. Your brake and ABS light will come on while they are disconnected. This will stop the car from pulling a buttload of timing when you spin your tires. Be sure to hook them back up before you leave the track. They are not that difficult, just turn the wheel all the way to the left, look behind the wheel and disconnect, then do the right.

I was at the track last weekend. All I have is a 3.5" pulley and a custom CAI. My PB so far is;

14.25 @ 94.488 with a 60' time of 2.1 seconds.

I hit the rev limiter in second gear hence the low trap speed.

That was one sticky track. As an example, there were 2 brothers with 1971 Novas with small blocks...both ran at about 10.5 seconds
