Is the 4.6 liter in the GXP a new engine? If not, why is it that this motor might have problems as far as possible "bugs" in them?

new for pontiac which I new. Was it used in the SLS series Seville? Reason asking is because its detuned and I didnt know if its new or used in the SLS. If its used, why would the car have possible problems? You all understand where I am coming at?

Probably all the typical 4.6L STS problems. Unless they fixed it.

Caddy just didnt use 275hp, right? Thats what I was speaking of. By it being lower hp, does that make a differnce?

275hp was the base in the Seville SLS

since they did use it, I am thinking the gxp shouldnt have any surprises then with breakdowns. Right?

No it shouldn't. But it'* the first year for the specific model.
