Does anyone experience excessive wind noise with their 2000 and up Bonneville? I find my 2003 extremely noisey compared to my 97. At times, I almost think the door is open becasue I can here road and wind noise, particularly in the front compartment - both passengr and driver'* side. The dealer has checked twice and says everyrhing is normal?

yah i do have a ton of wind noise, though not at much as my GTP, that was awful. I'm pretty sure my doors are out of alignment because sometimes in heavy rain water will drip in in some places, nothing major just a few drips.

Sorry to hear that, I hardly have any wind noise. I do have weather tech rain guards though, they probably contribute to the lack of wind noise. They're good guards too, I recommend them bigtime.

Don't get the Ventshade ones, only get the Weathertech ones, they're nice a strong and do not tape onto the car, they slide into the window groove. I've used both and for the extra 10 bucks, the weathertech ones are way better.

Don't buy the kind that use double sided tape and stick on, find ones like my link that fit into the window channel.

How difficult is it to adjust doors - is it just the door latch location that adjusts?

Are you talking about the fit of the door? If so I don't know, never looked.

Yes, I am just curious - if it is not the weather stripping, it must be the fit of the door that causes wind noise. If so, I would rather learn how to adjust the door than to try and take it back to the dealer for X number of times trying to get it perfect? I have also heard, that at least in the case of Honda, they have instruments that can measure wind noise or leakage from the doors. I have never heard of GM doing this?

In my research, I have checked the internet and what I am begrinning to appreciate, is that perhaps GM has a problem with the design of our cars as they apparently contribute to increased "wind rush" around the windows????? As i sepnd a fair amount of time on the hoghway, I want this problem solved!!!!!

I have the same problem on my 01, and it drives me crazy! I'm about due for service so I'll have the dealer look at it when I take her in. I've been told that this is not the norm!

You can isolate which window it is by opening the window while driving at speed. When the whistling stops you've found the window.
Check the moulding by folding a dollar bill length ways and closing the door on it now slide the bill along to find the loose spot.
