I was talking to this customer at work the other day. He has a '96 SSE. He said that when he bought the car he had all the fluids switched over to amsoil except the transfer case. I humored him and just agreed because I had no clue what he thought he was talking about. I later asked my boss, and he said, yeah, some front wheel drive cars have a transfer case for the final drive gear in the transaxle, but it is a seperate compartment. Has anyone else heard of this at all?

No we dont have a seprate transfer case, transmission fluid is all we need (Dex 3).
