Default Selectable Shift had a brain fart?

I was going home yesterday and I look down at my console and notice that both the light for Normal Shift and Performance Shift are on. I was like WTF and immediately pushed the performance mode, as that I what I keep it in for the firmer shifts. What happened? It hasent done it before or since. The swithes all look to be in perfect order.

Sometimes, if I don't press the perform shift button firmly, both lights will stay on.

I tried this yesterday. If you slowly press the buttons so that they are in-between, then you can get them both to come on.
