We're going to have some fun with this.

Has anyone noticed that all 4 wheels are identical have an identical spoke pattern? This means that the wheels on one side look different than the wheels on the other side. oops: At first I thought I'd been screwed. Then I noticed that every pic I've seen of the left and right side of the Bonnes are identical to mine. Very strange.

I have a similar wheel pattern on my '95 Vette. They call them pinwheels. I notice that each wheel'* spokes arcs rearward, unlike the Bonne. You will notice that the wheels on one side arc rearward, away from direction of spin. The other side arcs into the direction of spin. If you remove them and set them down in a row you will see that there are two different sets. If you do this to the Bonne all wheels will be identical. To see this anomoly look only at the top 1/2 of the wheels on each side.

Now everyone rush out and look at your wheels. Does anyone else see what I am talking about, or have I really been screwed? If you are as anal as I am about my Bonne it should trouble you for just about as long as it will trouble me.

They're the same wheel. You have 4 matching wheels. Looking at the drivers side of the car, you'll notice that when rolling forward, the wheels turn counter-clockwise. On the passenger side they turn clockwise. So looking from the side @ your perspective the wheels turn different ways.

However, all 4 wheels are the same. No one has side matched wheels. Look at the way the wheels are angled ONLY. Because that'* all the matters. One side will point to the back, one will point to the front.

If you don't believe me, go to your local auto store, buy some jack stands, and a floor jack, and lay the tires by eachother....

Almost all wheels you find will look like that. My summer wheels do that.

If you want a set of wheels that match for both sides be prepared to shell out a lot of dough.

I agree it would be nice to have side specific wheels, but that would cost more money.

Tire rotation? I do hope you are talking about rotating the tires and not the actual rotation.

As far as messing up rotating your tires, if anyone has directional tires, then it wont mess anything up. I have them and I am limited already.

It really is no big deal to me. It'* just that it was a shock to think that someone had switched my wheels. I've been looking at Vettes too long I guess.

I can see why side-directional wheels would be expensive.

Lame. Oh well, mine are symmetrical. There'* more to a Bonnie than wheels (torque). Or maybe that was torque to the wheels.

Yeah,...that'* the way it goes on the Bonnevilles when you have all 4 wheels the same and in a swooped or angled spoke pattern,.......the driver'* side wheels always are 'aerodynamically correct' in the way they rotate....and the passenger side wheels are always rotating in the 'non-aerodynamically correct' direction[...if that makes any sense ],......and no matter how you mount/rotate your tires,they always end up that way.Many/most cars are like this,....the Grand Ams,'03 Grand Prixs,'04 Grand Prixs,etc,etc,.........but then there are (like in the 'Vette and probably other high-zoot cars)the 'directional' rims(direction of the angled/swooped spokes are the same on Both sides of the vehicle), as well as the 'directional' tires to go with them,...and can only be physically rotated ion the same 'axle'(both front tires to back...and both back tires to front)and not 'criss-crossed' over to the other side of the vehicle.
