Default Intake Diamater

On my 97 N/A. When I go to put on my tube for the CAI, should it be 3" in diamater like the TB, or should it be 2.5"?

Make it 3". The ADTR was originally designed for a 99SE. Flow benched and Dyno'd, 3" performed better than 3.5 and 2.5. Believe it or not.
