Just want to know if anyone has put them in on the bonnie. I know the GP'* are relatively easy to do, but we do not have rocking dog bones. Anyone install them? How is the performance?
They are pretty simple to install on the Bonneville, the engine bay has more room, however the engine sits closer to the firewall than the w-body cars do. The L36 is going to have about half the gain of an L67 because it doesn't have any boost, but 10hp is still plenty of power gain. We put 1.9:1 rockers on my moms SSEi in about 2.5 hours. Unexperienced, I would leave about 4-5 hours of time to do it in.

They are a nice 1st serious mod for anyone. It'll get you aquainted with the top half of your engine, at very least! You'll feel the difference right away. I recommend going to a higher rate of valve spring at the same time. Some people have seen what'* called valve float. The higher rate solves it before it happens. I went a step further and had larger valves installed a couple of weeks later.

Do the larger valves have any gains? Also I believe that ZZP quotes the rockers as giving 13-17 HP at the wheels for the L36 engine. The 3rd gen rockers for the L67 bring in 20 to 25 HP.
