Intake Questions...again
A few different questions about Intakes.
Will a GrandPrix intake work on a Bonneville?
Is there a post in here about making your own intake, (plans and diagrams type of thing)
How effective would using a stock intake be if the front of the intake piece was removed, only revealing the filter itself. Then drop in a stock K&N Air Filter to add better filtration? Thoughts or Opinions?

If you gut the airbox and drop in a K&N you'll definetely get a nice growl, and maybe a 5hp gain.
I'm not sure about a GP intake in a Bonneville. Do you mean an aftermarket intake for a GP being used in a Bonneville? If so, the Thrasher intake for the GP doesn't work with our cars. But it'* possible to make one yourself. A lot of people have been asking me for directions to one I made. I'll be doing a write-up soon once I get some free time.

Yea, an aftermarket one. I am probably just going to start thinking about building my own. Been doing a lot of reading from past topics, and have some ideas I might put into play.
45* street elbow, 10.5" straight peice. 3" PVC. Lop off hub of 45. Glue together. Sand. Paint. Wproks with 6" long filter. Drill IAT hole near to filter as posible.
We need a list of the different IAT size holes. Put that in your thing will.

No, it can't free float. The best way to do it is to overdrill the hole for it so the right size grommet can be inserted. Then the IAT is held by the grommet. Similar to the factory mounting.
