I am currently at 160,000...and she still feels fine...(bought mine new in 1993)

my goal is 200,000 in the buick then my dad and i are gonna rebuild it when it dies because its such a good car but ive heard of lots of 3800 series 1 going for a long time. i dont know why or how but they keep going and going.

when i got rid of my 90 LE bonnie, it had 201,000 miles on it and the engine was still running great.

What about the Series II? Any high numbers with those? I'm just shy of 50,000 on my '98 and I've already replaced the intake manifold once because of the Series II plastic curse. I'd sure love to see Silver live to a ripe, old age but I'm worried about the longterm reliability of these engines.
