83 C15, When we first got it two years ago the pedal had about a half inch of travel before braking started. Now its got almost three inches of travel. Just replaced pads, calipers and rotors are in good condition. What is making this thing not stop?

Try bleeding the brakes, and check each wheel cylinder and the master cylinder for leaking.

Bled 'em, No Visible leaks

the brake booster is bad
check for vaccum going to the booster
to do so pull off vaccum line while engine in is running

also check for leaks where the master cylinder and the booster meet

if any leaks master cylinder is bad

Damn kids don't know nothin' 'bout old cars....

oOoOo.... That thing... I thought that was part of the master, never seen them separated... It'* kinda hard to tell what'* leaking and what isn't under the hood, The oil pressuse sender by the distibuter leaked for about tens years before I replaced it a few months ago, It'* dirty under there. But it snowed today so I'll look at it later.....

One thing people are forgetting here is that these trucks have a balancer ( little metal thing that the front and back lines join up into). On that year it may be mounted on the frame itself. What happens aften enough is that when you do changethe brakes it falls to one side ( inside of course, hehe) and will not allow you to bleed the system properly. I have heard of slamming the brake pedal a couple times HARD and it sometimes resets it.

You did say C15 wich makes it * chevy right. If that is the case go here and do a search. great place, that is where I go to talk about my 69 GMC I have.
