Default INTAKES

Im going to get an custom intake priced today for my ssei. Out of curiosity, if i would be able to get thses intakes made for about 200CND so about 150 us, and i would be able get them ready for delivery in about a week, how many people would be interested. There is a muffler shop here in edmonton that does them, i think i will get one made sometime soon and post a picture for everyone, i was just wondering if anyone else would be interested in one. Let me know.

Okay, on the phone when i talked to him he said about 200 dollars, but once i went over there he said there needs to be a bit more work, and 200 dollars would be with some crappy filiter, the one he wants to put on in a k&N im not sure what one i will ask him tommorow. So the price went up to 280 CND so that'* about 220 us, and that would be a 3.5in intake with a k&N filter painted to one of 5 colors, he hasn't decided what ones yet. Plus shipping. Now im not sure how much the ADTR intakes are but im going to get one of these made for myself in about 2 Weeks. If you are still interested just let me know, either way im getting one done i just thought i could let people in on this if they wanted to.

Dang. I just got a $35 (shipped) civic intake off of ebay. it'* 3" chrome aluminum pipe w/ an oil filter that can be cleaned w/ the k&n kit. I really have to get pics of it installed. I routed the pipe and filter into the stock air box. It'* completely gutted and has the front and front-driverside chopped off with lexan blocking off engine heat right up to the headlight. This was a cheap intake and a cheap heat shield. I did notice a diffrence from the k&n drop in filter. And the engine groan is lovely. The hugest bitsch was stretching the rubber reducer it came with. i stretched the 3" part over the 3.5" throttlebody and the other side (2.5"?) over the 3" pipe.
Hopefully i can get some pics.

Several weeks ago, there was a thread about CAIs and in it was a picture of a very nicely done intake with an isolating box to keep the warm air out. I have tried a search and gotten nowhere.
Anyone remember what I'm referring to?

Mark,
are you referring to Will'*?(willwren). If you look at his sig picture you'll see his massive filter and CAI box. Peter also has a nice picture of his intake but he doesn't have the heat shield. I think that thread you're referring to got wiped out during the crash.
