Default HMM wierd?---GM related...

I know a few guys floating around work in and around GM dealerships... so why??

Why is it that I can pick up a 03 2500 avalanche with just about zero miles for 33,000cdn?
Theres about 3 or 4 for sale floating around northern alberta with very low (30,000ish) km...
They start at 45,000 and the as tested (for lack of a better word) is about 55,000 with leather/DVD/extras
-with the 2500, the 8.1 and allison come automaticly.

Then you take the same vehicle, only in truck form...
starts at 50,000 *LT 4x4 crew cab 2500. Then you add in the 8.1 and the alison automatic, plus the options that the avalanche does(minus sunroof) price jumps to 60,000cdn or 46.5kusd
Even after 30,000km and .6 of a year this truck is still worth around 50,000.
So my question is Why the hell is the avalanche so much cheaper? and there in a tighter package. I still need a vehicle to tow my camping trailer next spring, and if there that cheap I might consider it.

Even though that body cladding is ugly as hell, and maybe thats the reason there cheap... I dunno...

You can get the avalanche without body hardware now. Some colors look ok, so yeah. I think you might just be seeing some weird things. avalanche isn't gonna be as strong as a full truck (no midgate) but it'* not bad by any means. Those are BEASTs of engines and trannies.

The resale of the Avalanches are terrible well maybe just around here. They are a nice ride though.

Customers are returning those Trailblazers and Envoys because of terrible gas mileage, seems like GM has to get their trucks in order around here :?

I took one for a 'joy' ride!(test drive) too much fun... that 496 has way too much power and the 4:10 can make the tires scream (mind you, ahem... this one wasnt eighter of those posted above-lol) At highway speeds it get great gas mileage because of the 5speed automatic. I might take it again next weekend for the 24 hour one, but right now I probably shouldnt put my money down, I owe way too much on my beach house and truck, oh well in the spring time I hope to get rid of that shack.
I don't understand why the trailblazers arnt getting good mileage... that 4.2L I-6 is small and powerful...

Those 496'* are strong. My friends truck with still spin the tires while towing his 35 ft. boat behind him. Trailblazer'*, now those are definently a waste of money. I think for a fully loaded it is around$45k(US). For another 5k I would rather get an Escalade.
