Hey all i have a 93 bonnie and a 94 se..I need to replace the clusters on both...which years would fit?

Any 92-94 SE gage cluster SHOULD work...at least in my experience any cluster from 81-91 LE/SE worked in any Bonneville from that gen.

But you can't get an SSE/i cluster in an SE, but you knew that

Although it'* probably not critical, I'd recommend replacing each with the same year of replacement only. At this point in time those model years shouldn't be too hard to find in the junkyard.

But all that aside, why do you need to replace _either_ of them?

The one in the 93 is broken to pieces......the other is cracked..i guess i could just replace the plastic cover..!

What'* broken, the plastic cover or the gauges themselves? The covers should be pretty much the same, 92-99, as long as you get one from an SE.

Um, define "broken to pieces"... how and where?

As for the plastic cover, maybe you can order that separately...? Believe me, it would be overkill to pull and replace an entire cluster just because the faceplate cracked, plus you get into awkward issues with replacement odometers showing the wrong mileage, etc.

IIRC, you can replace the clear plastic faceplate without having to remove the cluster from the dash.

The covers don't appear to be available seperately, Bridget. as far as compatibility, it doesn't look good. The following years all have different part numbers:

92-93
94
95
96
97-99

And they're rather spendy, even from a wrecker. Shop around, and don't forget ebay.

This seems to be the only correct option for replacing the cluster on a '93. After that, IIRC, the DIC and Compass fluorescent display colors changed from green to red, and I imagine there were other internal changes along with that.

Agreed. I'd still like to know how the broken one got broken...

Wait a minute, I thought all of the 92-99 SE clusters had no green VF displays on them, while all of the 92-99 SSE/SSEi clusters had two green VF displays (compass and DIC).

Is that wrong?
