Default RAM AIR

I am thinking about adding Ram Air to our car, and I am in need of some guidance. I was wondering what you guys have experienced as benefits of putting one in your car. Did it increase gase milage? Seat of the pants power? Nicer sound? Also, what materials/total cost if you can remember. Pictures or links would be great. Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated!

Short ram on my car gave it the famous growel and some nicer pickup. All in all any aftermarket intake system helps the car breath better which is anything but bad.

When you say ram air do you mean a forward inlet that when at speed air is pushed faster and faster into it and subsequently the air filter? I have some 3" tubing from each end of my bumper inlet to my intake, check out page 8 of http://members.cardomain.com/bonnieboimn for my setup. 3" dryer duct fits PERFECTLY inside the recesses of the bumper.

Yeah, I am talking about the ducting, and what is the best way to route it behind the bumper? Could you use the space where the air dam is?

Personally i am a little afraid of the ram air below the bumper idea, its a little too close to a CAI system for my tastes. If you do not hook it up to the cone, I don't think you will se much difference unless traveling at a high speed already. And if you do, you stand the risk of sucking up a puddle when it is raining. I may be wrong and feel free to correct me.

That can happen, but I've compensated my own system for just that by putting in drainage holes in the system. I've hooked up a HD 3" tube to the front fascia up behind the headlight to my modified stock air box. This with my present exhaust system mods (CAt removed) have created a very "Throughty" sound.

CHeck out my cardomain page, i have where it'* all routed and all. I had to pull the flap of material back that'* next to the radiator, then the complete headlight assembly, then you'll see EXACTLY how easy it is once you move that heavy cloth stuff.

Need to see the inside of the airbox, to say for sure. If you felt like doing some body and fiberglass work, RamAir would be easy through your fender.

Default well..

If I could find an experimental fender...spend 36 or so hours with it and a piece of sheet metal It might! look o/k but... It would be easyer to poke some holes and remove the highbeam on that side...
