Hey i have a 95 bonnie SSE and it tops out at 105mph im woundering if there is a governer remover for it or some kinda performance chip for my bonnie that will remove the speed limiter and where i could look for one on the internet or around where i live.

Hate to say it, but here goes...

The governor is controled by the chip. The only way to remove it is to get a new chip. Unfortuneatly, since 95 was one of the OBD switch over years it is next to impossible to find a chip for your car, I've tried for mine. You can get one custom burned, but that will be 4x+ more than an out of the box chip for any other car. Ty (speedyguy here on the forum) runs www.domesticperformance.com and he might be able to help you out. Even if he can it will still most likely cost some $$$ for it. :?

You should be able to get a chip and remove yours. No other way to do it that i know of, but you should have chips available for a 93.

Sorry we are in the same boat. 96 was the main year they made the changes to the OBD I and OBD II also the start of the transmission change.

well thats a bummer. i wont spend the $$ for a custom burned chip. i still got about $4000 to put into my gto to get it finished for next years cruzin ! :?

Maybe you can disconnect the speedo cable and install an external speedometer, or does the ECM read off something else.
