where is the fuel filter in a 1992 ssei? is it in the tank or on the line somewhere?

It'* under the car, north of the gas tank on the way to the engine. It'* about the size of a pop can.

Not to sure if its the same, but on mine its in front of the left rear tire, underneath the car, along the edge of the car, very close to the parking brake line.

Pop can is about right, maybe a bit smaller. Not sure if its the same, but follow the fuel lines, you should be able to find it

is it a hard fix? im just afraid that ill disconnect the line and ill dump 10 gallons of premium fuel on the ground

They recommend you relieve the pressure of the fuel line before you change it, but I have never done it on the filters of the fuel injected cars I've changed. Just loosen one end, and let the gas run out till it stops. You'll lose maybe a cup of gas, and you will have some run down your arms. Just makes you smell like a mechanic. Don't smoke or
Once you get it out, pour the gas out of it backwards into a glass container or something, and you can see how dirty it was.

Not really sure, I'll check my Chiltons...ok, it looks do-able. If you have a handbook check it out. One of the key things is to loosing the fuel pressure in the engine, when you loosen the pressure, the gas won't flow and it will be easy to do from there..

I'm no pro and mine was done professionally, but get a manual and you should be fine

is there a certain type of filter i should buy or just one from like checkers auto or napa or something...there a website...and how do you release the fuel pressure afters its off.? just undo it and let hte gas run out?

AC Delco..stick with OEM, better that way
