Bye Bye Jetta
I was driving in Winnipeg the other night on a street that is four wide. It has a few lights not many and is great for quarter mile racing.
I pull up to a light just casually driving along enjoying the somewhat warm night (-4 is warm considering -25 is the norm) when I hear this reving beside me, I look over and there is quite the Jetta. Forest green and by the noise I am sure this guy was running a short ram intake and exhaust. So I slip the bonne into D from OD, switch the tranny to performance sift and begin reving at about 4k.
Light goes green and I take off to chirping tires. Perfect timing cause name of the game by crystal method came on just as I took off. We were fairly even but the dude shifted while I was still in first and I was still going, then I redlined, shifted and I never looked back. I had clearly one so I slowed down to the speed limit, I rounded a curve and there was the Po-Po radaring people.
Phew somebody was smiling on me that day.
fer sure and unfortunatly I have had that happen more then once, cops see how old I am (20) and see that I am driving a Bonneville and they either assume its stolen or something else bad so it is their duty to pull me over and harass me.
you should see the look on anybody when they hear my system.
If you have msn why don't you just talk to me there my addy is ratmfan2118@hotmail.com
My CRX kill last night, I left it in D and let the PCM figure it out for me. With the Jet Stage 2 chip, at least, It shifts at the perfect times. I'd be hard pressed to beat it with my own reactions. Shifts are firmer, too.
I also left my climate in auto and never used performance shift. Didn't even think about it til later.
