Interior lights on shifter?
Weird! I just lost mine last week. I was beginning to think that I never had a light on the console shifter becauise the indicator is a bright orange. I thought it was opaque and would not allow light to shine through. Besides there is already a light on the dash. I am surprised to hear that a light is down there. Go figure.
Obviously there has to be a wiring problem with the lights on my center console. The shifter lights, seat heater lights, and the traction control lights all went out at the same time last week. The traction control light came back on the other day, the shifter lights came back on and then went back off last night and then stayed on this morning, while the seat heater lights continue to stay off. I really don't know what to do here. Does anyone have any suggestions?
if you guys are stumped......

1) take the dash panel off. (two ins at the top, pull ring around key, pull connections for rest) ((Two electrical connectors))
2) pull the center console cover off. (Two thumb tabs just below the temp controls, and pull the shift **** off...by removing horseshoe clip) ((One or Three electical connectors, depending on your build))
3) Remove four bolts holding the shifter down to the floor. Leave all the cables connected. Lift up slightly for extra access. (Unless you have EXTREMELY small hands)
4) bulb socket is on the bottom, and is a twist type connector, even though it doesn't look like it. Mine was really stiff, requiring more than fingers to twist CCW.
5) Rinse, repeat in about a year. :?
Hope this helps.

Better to do them all at the same time I guess. :?
