You could move the engine to the trunk.

I know of a mid 90'* Trans Am?, that has the 3800 in them. Last I knew, the intake was different, and the oil filter bracket is different(due to placement in the engine bay).
I don't know what trans it had.

Old idea...shot down by the masses.

But the thought behind it...would be very very cool !!

There'* no reason why being creative can't suceed in that car. There'* a bunch of guys that have used the 3800'* in sand rails and other things like that. It'* a good durable motor, which is what you want when swapping.

IIRC you can toss F body flywheel and trans in w/o too many issues.

Holden has manual trans RWD 3800SC powered cars in Australia!

Check out some of the sweet cars

If you put the SC motor in then you would have to make a elbow to make the throttle body point forward, But hey if you were cool with international shipping you could just buy parts for the Holdens!

you can use the 3.8L out of a 98+ camaro or Firebird for the Chevette since it is RWD already. The FWD 3.8L might not have the right mount locations and brackets.

The FWD m90 interferes with the firewall big time and on some f-bodies the hood is too low for the snout.

You would have to chop up the inlet to the m90 and tig on an elbow. One or two guys did this on fullthrottlev6.com.

Getting an Aussie m90 is pretty difficult and expensive.
