3800 rear wheel drive
im woundering what is needed to make a 3800 into a rear wheel drive engine....i heard somewhere a custiom fly wheel from a 2.8 trans am and a 700r4 trans?...has any 1 done somelike that befo?

I know of a mid 90'* Trans Am?, that has the 3800 in them. Last I knew, the intake was different, and the oil filter bracket is different(due to placement in the engine bay).

There'* no reason why being creative can't suceed in that car. There'* a bunch of guys that have used the 3800'* in sand rails and other things like that. It'* a good durable motor, which is what you want when swapping.
IIRC you can toss F body flywheel and trans in w/o too many issues.

If you put the SC motor in then you would have to make a elbow to make the throttle body point forward, But hey if you were cool with international shipping you could just buy parts for the Holdens!

You would have to chop up the inlet to the m90 and tig on an elbow. One or two guys did this on fullthrottlev6.com.
Getting an Aussie m90 is pretty difficult and expensive.
