New exhaust for my 98' SSEi
Just Bought...
Magnaflow hi-flow Cat... part number 94106. This is 2.5 in and out (which I believe is stock, right?).
Magnaflow F-body SS muffler... part number 14266. Also 2.5 in and out.
Last but not least the tips
Magnaflow part number 35167. These are 2.5 in to dual 3 inch out. They are double walled SS....
I kept everything stock sizes because I don't plan on modding the engine and I wanted to keep a little back pressure. I do have a few questions. Mainly, could replacing the cat end up throwing a code? What do I tell the shop to do with the O2 sensor and bung? And will a shop give me all my old stock parts back?

i never had to use one, i dont mess with the exhaust on my drivers because of the nys tree hugger inspection. in theory the things wire into the rear o2 connector and make the computer think the o2 is still there. on the site it says universal works for all gm'*. if you do it in a inconspicuous area so a wondering inspectors eye wouldnt zoom in on it i dont see why this wouldnt work.

I'm in upstate NY myself, but I know a few inspectors who would miss it lol. Thanks for the link, I may end up giving this a shot if it throws any codes.

Last I knew, O2 simulators plug into the end of the O2 sensor wire. You may be able to tuck that into the metal tray that holds the wires.
1. Considering you are not in the NYC area, you will not be smog tested.
2. As long as the PCM sees "data" coming from the simulator, it will not trip a code. No code, the inspectors computer won't see it and fail it. That'* it.
But, depending on the mechanic, they do tend to get snoopy and poke and prod at everything just to try and make a buck. I always tell my shop to JUST INSPECT IT. If you find something that isn't related, leave it alone! Most of my inspections last about 10 minutes. Last guy that did my Blazer last month took him 45 mins. I yelled at the manager and he turned around and yelled at the mechanic. Get that MF thing of the rack!! ITS DONE!!! LOL.

Disconnect your existing O2, plug in the sim and done.
