The twilight sensor (on top of the IP like Justin said) has no moving parts and can not make a clicking noise. Chances are this is the headlight relay you are hearing. If you tell us what car you are driving, we can tell you where the relay is.

it says 93 bonnie,
in my 98 the relays are on the pass side, but arent labeled, gm thought that would be funny i guess. and in the manual it says to go see a dealer.

The Maxifuse/Relay Center is in the underhood fuse box, and the manual states there is a chart on the inside of the cover showing what is controlled by each fuse and relay. Pop the cover off that fuse box, locate the headlight relay, and while someone turns the headlights off and on listen to see if that is where the clicking noise is coming from.

the sensor is the flat one. ill get it out and put a image of up later, but the actual twilight switch makes a clicking nose when the lights shut off, the car is a 93 Bonneville se
