1991 bonneville stalls at cold to warm up
I have a 1991 bonneville it will only stall when it is cold and then reaches warm up, and temp. out side is below 62 deg. if it is above 62-65 deg. the car purrs like a kitten can drive all day no problems, in the last 300 miles replaced
crank sensor
cam sensor
timining chain and gears
I.C.M.
coolant temp sensor
maf sensor
o2 sensor
coil pack
ignition switch
oil sending sensor
battery
I took to a shop last week but temp was above 65 deg
they were unable to find any thing fuel pressure was good no vacum leaks, etc. but recommened cleaning under throttlebody
and had a rattle in catalyic converter to have that fixed incase of causing any kind of blockage so after all that, it still stalls
I brought the car from Tennessee and I live in Michigan maybe it miss'* the warm weather

What about the Idle Air Control valve? Inspect, clean/replace?

ok,
after cleaning Idle control valve still have stall problem, so purchased a new one and still have the stall problem,
when the car is started in the morning it idles a little high as normal after several minutes when it is warmed up the idle lowers itself that is when I have the stall, car will start back up but must apply the gas and cranck over at same time, and two foot drive it from then on

Ok, how about the MAF sensor? Probably could use a cleaning also. Sits on top of the throttle body. 2 or 3 screws. Get a can of MAF sensor safe cleaner at Autozone.

M.A.F. sensor is new it was the first thing I replaced when issue came up,
but have noticed the last several days that when the temp. is below 65 it is not an issue anymore, last two days it has stalled at 67, and 71 deg. this morning it was 71 deg stalled at end of my road, two foot drove it back home with service engine soon light flashing and temp warning light flashing turned car off and restarted everthing ran good after that, but after it started you could smell the gas from the flooding because of problem, drove car for 20 miles without any problems,
it will not hold the code to troubleshoot problem I guess it is back to the mechanics hopefully it will screw up on them this time

Thats a lot of gas it sucked in if you could smell it. Now I'm wondering fuel pressure regulator.

When the motor starts cold runs great, when motor is warmed up runs great, but when engine is warming up and then reachs warm up I believe is the problem, I am not sure what all the steps are involved for the ECM to look at when car reachs warm up but must be some thing at that point to tell it air fuel ratio,
