About four months ago i noticed my oil pressure sender was blowing oil out the back where the wires connect, so i replaced and gave the car a new oil change with a filter. Now just about 3000 miles later the oil level is low but the pressure is high at 120, even when the car has warmed up. I don't know if i need a another new unit, if its a bad cluster, or if its bad wiring. I plan to try the mechanical gauge test to make sure nothing is really wrong with the car. Anyone else out there experiencing this issue, who can help????


My Car 1997 bone stock Bonneville Se with 89000 (bought with 85000) miles.

If it'* reading 120 then the sender is dead or not plugged in.

alright thanks. it does drop after awhile but its almost always really high. i'm actually pissed cause i replaced already.

Check over the plug first.
