Default HELP massive electrical surge/dropoff

The entire electrical system In my 1988 Bonneville SSE blanks out every time I hit the brakes. The radio cuts out, dash lights fail, needles drop off, and it'* gone so far as stalling the engine, and locking the radio head unit. I know these things have terrible electrical systems, but this is atrocious. The brake motor/pump assy has failed in my car, as the brake and antilock lights are on in the dash, but I have full voltage at the pump plug. I still have the hydraulic effect. But the pump cant keep up anymore, and I have lost all power assist. Was doing okay With the car, but now that it'* stalling out on the road, it'* become a hazard.

Any advice is MUCH Appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Typical sign of a weak alternator/battery system. If the alternator is old, I suggest replacing it. If the battery is more than 3-4 years old, maybe replace that too. And give the cables a good inspection for corrosion.
