Well, I'm pretty sure it isn't legal to be used on the street in this situation as the MS won't run the EGR among other things.

EGR doesn't mean much in a turbo application, the backpressure caused by moving through the turbine is usually more than enough to cause self-EGR and pass emissions tests...
the lack of built-in support for things like IAC and knock sensing bother me. i believe those are possible now through an add-in board, but still.

My only concern was that we built the MS to run a gm HEI ignition. I didn't want to have to re-solder a bunch of pins to make it work with gm DIS. So I got on megamanual.com to see how hard it would be and I found this:
To use the GM DIS module, build your MegaSquirt® as shown in the GM HEI section.
SWEET!

that'* due to computerized HEI and DIS actually using the same signals, just that the HEI'* pulses correspond directly with a cylinder position, where the DIS is i believe 60* advanced.

Made it to the junkyard today but only had 45 minutes before they closed.
I got a 3100 LP UIM. 94 GP Throttle cable bracket for the kickdown cable, and (Thanks to Robert) a 2000+ 3400 fuel rail.
Tomorrow I will try to take care of the rest of my shopping list.

i was actually playing with the MC today, and the early 3x00s do have the necessary kickdown stuff even though there was never one made that used it.

I found out a couple days ago and nearly shat myself I was so excited! That was one of the major obstacles keeping me from doing this swap.
