what controls firing sequence on a GM 3.8l v6
I have a 2000 Firebird. Its a bare bones 3.8l 5 speed. Here is my problem:
The middle coil pack wont fire. I replaced both the control module and the coil with new parts. Still no go. What controls the sequence and how do I test to find out if that signal is not being generated??

That explains how to test the entire ICM, so I'm assuming you're firing fine on the other 4 cylinders?
My guess would be a bad crank or cam sensor but if one of the sensors is bad I would think you would have issues with the other cylinders not firing at the proper time.
