sunfire - air =bleeding -radiator
Changed out the antifreeze in my 96 sunfire 2.2 liter 4 banger-- dash lite shows coolant low--now i have tried bleeding all air out of the radiator/coolant system =via- the top thermostat /hose bleeded fitting. Stll- low coolant lite on?? whats up or how to turn off??/ --- coolant resivour is full & remains full after several engine warm ups to full temp & has been driven also. Thanx

there is a sensor, on most gm cars its about half way down on the rad, sounds bad. some are optical and just need cleaned. i had one go through on my bonnie, cleaning didnt do anything.

I think on this car, it is in the coolant reservoir.......look for a wire harness going into the reservoir.......that little bulge is where the sensor is.....if the level in the reservoir is above the cold line, take the handle of a screwdriver and tap that little bulge....the light should go out....

Glad the light is now off.
Did the ole tap tap work or did you have to replace the sensor?
Was the sensor located at the rad or reservoir?
