Signal Indicators Electrical Question

I have have lighting project I'm in the process of working on and I'm currently drawing up the relay wiring diagram for the needed power for the project. I have and very specific question regarding the signal switch and flasher relay. Is there a constant trigger wire or two that runs to the flasher relay? If yes what is the polarity? What color(s) wire(s) am I looking for or where are they located? I can't even find a definite answer on if there's even a flasher relay on the car. Yes I've checked the diagrams in the service manual but there's not enough detailed information. If anyone knows any part of the info above I can figure it out if I can at least get a location. BTW, I'm color blind so that's why I can't just go digging through wires. Trust me, I once blew the driver's side door airbag out of a Mercedes SUV. Those 2 wires didn't go to the speaker I guess.
the car is a stock 96 Pontiac Bonneville SSE

It has a constant for the flasher. Afraid I don't have diagrams, but I'll be in my 1997 LeSabre tomorrow and will try to remember to look at the wires.

I believe you have two flashers....one for turn and the other for hazard....are BOTH not working?
