I have a 99 bonney SE vin number 1 that I posted about a week ago because of a bad ground. Now that is fixed and I replaced the water pump and idle pulley, I am going to ask about the oil pressure gauge problem that I have been having since I bought the car less than 3 weeks ago.
My oil gauge keeps jumping. If I am not touching the gas and when I first start it the oil pressure is at zero. Then after I am going driving along it goes to where it should be. Then when I take a turn sharply or come to a quick stop< it goes into the red.
The check oil light is on, and I have checked the oil. It says there is a little much in there. The oil is fresh and new ( from previous owner). I honestly don't know enough about the oil system to even begin to understand why this might be happening. If anyone has any feedback as to why I am having this issue, let me know please.
Also, I don't know if this will be help, but my exhuast is loud. Sounds like a whole somewhere in the rear of the car.

Ok, let'* take care of the important thing first. Oil, in an engine, is like the life blood of the human body. No flow, no life.
So, you have a L67 supercharged engine. 5W-30 oil. Oil pressure jumping. I'd like more clarification on that because the gauge will do 1 of 2 things. 1. Not work. 2 Work. Now, when I say work, I mean, it will ACTUALLY tell you when your oil is hot and when the oil is losing its viscosity and when the oil is brand new.
Do you know the complete history of the car? If the previous owner didn't tell you at LEAST when the last oil change was done, go get it done now. Then come back and tell us what the OP gauge is doing.

Hell, the previoud owner is a car lot that got it as a trade in and never got it in their name. I bought it a few weeks ago. All they could tell me was that the car had new cylinder heads and that it ran okay. I test drove it a few times. They had the car since October and said they didnt do anything with it but clean it and try to sell it. I got it for 1800 dollars so I knew I was going to have to do some work but this is getting crazy already.
I will do the oil change after the holiday. Probably in about a week since we are about to get a snow storm the day after Christmas.
P.*.
The only reason why I bought the car is because of my previous time with Bonnevilles. My very first car was a 94 SSei. She was my baby. And then I owned a 93 SSei. I love the Bonnevilles, but this one has more issues than what I am used to.

Yeah I can take a video. I will do that tomorrow. Now I have somewhat of another issue. My old man is saying the oil is milky looking. I said something to him about it when I first checked the oil. He said it wasn't milky then. He is bringing me the car tomorrow. I will take a video then and I will look into the milky oil situation myself.
