A lot of people like to look in to porting and smoothing out casting imperfections, as well as matching up the ports with the size of the gaskets. series 2 had a lots of complaints of bad castings, and really woke up when cleaned up. Not sure about series 3, but it's worth a look while in there. I also would look at little things like injector o-rings, cleaning the injectors, etc.

You don't have to go crazy with it, but it seemed like a little attention went a long way.

I remember port matching on my series 2. Was not a fun job. This was back during the Wrenn dictatorship.

I remember how roughly the LIM in my 3800 II in my Park Ave was cast, I did not port match it, but I did clean up how rough it was with my dremel, and I opened each runner up to 1.9 x .9 I think it was..
I did not polish it, but it looked better afterwards, it only took forever with my dremel,, even though I had the flex handheld extension for it..

Deff going with new injector O-rings, and I thought about DIY cleaning my injectors, if only I can find my spare pigtail connector I bought that fits the injector, and the push button switch, I used it to pulse the injector while I had a syringe of carb cleaner being squeezed through, also reverse cleaned them..
I can afford new ones, only 216.00 for 6 new AC Delco's, but I'd rather save and not waste money.

I'll be DIY cleaning the injectors, since I am not sure where I have my old stuff to do the job I ordered this..
Yeah I could have made it myself cheaper, but I only get but so much time off from work to do stuff..

Was hoping to be able to get the car on the road and drive it for a week or two before tearing into it, but I looked at the rad cap and it has a lot of sludge on it.. :(

Trying to decide if I should spend as much time as I did cleaning my LIM bolts on this car as I did on the Park Ave....
For 29.00 I could get a new set of blots...

Well, I got everything in I could possibly need to do this job, but since I work a job that commands use of my hands all day to run machines, I am wondering how sure I am that I want to tackle this myself..

One thing pushing me to do it myself is my love for getting things fixed myself, the other is that Id save 600.00 alone on the LIM job, that is what the mechanic wants for a listed 6hr job, he charges like 89$ an hour...
I also need my plugs, wires, and valve cover gaskets done while he is working on it, I am sure he will want another 170.00 to do that...

The job is not much different than it was on my 3800 II on my 96' Park Ave was,, is it?
I mean other than having the super charger, drive by wire instead of throttle linkage cables, and a much tighter engine bay....

You should be able to do it in a weekend.
