GP idling fast after intake manifold work
Hi, Im new to forum. I have a 95 pontiac grand prix with the 3100 v6 engine. I recently just put new intake manifold gaskets in as well as valve cover and plenum gaskets. Now my car is idleing fast, i backed off the adjustment screw to the throttle body. Now what do i do? Any tips? I also still have an oil leak!? HELP! Thanks tyler.

The biggest thing to do is find out why it is idling high. Biggest offender is massive vacuum leak usually. May also want to check Throttle Position Sensor, and maybe even Idle Air Controller.
Easiest thing is to throw it on the scanner, to ensure that you aren't throwing money at it. Also double check vacuum connections, routing, and make sure nothing is left unplugged. There was another instance where a loose egr tube was not helping with this same kind of situation, but no telling what could cause it.

Welcome to the forum! I've moved your thread into the Grand Prix section and renamed it. That should get more people in here.
Anyway, a fast idle can be caused by too much air in the engine. I'm no expert on the 3100 engine, but generally, there'* special torquing needed for installing manifolds. Go back and make sure your gaskets are good and your bolts are tight.
