Default stupid grand prix

It still chugs sometimes so bad it wont even go, its like 4 wheeler with the choke on. The 02'* have been changed, its almost like the trans is slipping but I dunno.

sometimes i dont think it will do it, but then it will hit a certail mph an then bam I can floor it and it will not go.
Sometimes on the eway it takes 3 miles to get up to 70.

seems like the more gas in it the better it acts.

any clue???????

Either that or a clogged fuel filter. How old is the filter?

Before you change parts.. let'* get some data.

Please get the fuel pressure tested

If you think the trans is an issue.. go to a reputable shop and ask them to check it out (some will do an estimate for free)

If you think it'* a bad cat.. stop at a muffy shop and get an estimate.. (they'll tell you if it'* clogged or not)

Honestly.. with what you posted.. there isn't enough information.

Any noises?
Feel like the trans is slipping?
Fluid up to the right level?

Engine running rough is probably the first order of business.. It chugs etc.. any check engine lights? Can you get a scanner on it to ensure it'* running right?

I had a code, but it was the 02, right when it started chugging, it would go off.
So I changed that. I think it is fuel related just because the more gas the better it is. It use to be hit and miss, It could go a few days. NOw it is everyday. Its my g/fs car and it is so bad that I dunno if she should drive it cuz she cant even pull out of her driveway with out thinking about getting rear ended.

I'd say you need to check fuel pressure. That would surely cause an issue... if low enough it could also cause an O2 code.

Fuel pressure can be affected by a clogged fuel filter. Start with the cheap stuff first. Get that fuel filter replaced--especially since you don't know how old it is. They're only $8 from Advance. Test drive it. If still the same check the fuel pressures with the guage at the fuel rail.
