Default steering column

I need to replace the steering column on my '93 Bonneville SE. It has a floor shift and remote radio controls. I have been advised that there are two different columns in '93; ID numbers 26027251 and 26028072 . What is the difference and are they interchangeable?

I would have to assume one is the floor shift one is the coulumn shift..As far as being interchangeable anything is possible hell i just took a column apart cut the shifter nub off smoothed it out and installed a floor shifter in a truck but if your looking for a direct less hassle replacement find one out of a car with floor shift

Actually, there are seven different columns for this car, depending on the options such as model, floor shift vs column; radio controls; tilt; etc.

The two IDs I referenced are both for the SE, tilt, radio controls, and floor shift. There is no difference in the descriptions.

From the VIN number I am told I have the 26028072 column, but I cannot locate one of these anywhere I have tried. The other, 26027251 is available, but I don't know if it will fit or what. It might be in the size or possibly the electrical connectors. Nobody yet can tell me the difference.

Hey so you cant find the vin number on your car? It should be up near the dashboard. On my 88 bonne its on the driver side right up where the windshield and dash meet and i can read it through the window. Idk if this helps but i think i remember hearing all cars have the
Vin in 2 spots and i think one is always dash board area. Hope thin helps
