transmission problem
actually not my car but my mom'* 2004 GTP COMPG
from 2nd to 3rd it clunks realy hard right before the shift.
No other problem tranny fluid is red and smells fine.
any ideas?
oh it has like 37,000 miles on it(just out of warrenty

Normally if there is, it is the law that the manufacturers have to fix whatever the problem, kind of like the fule pressure regulator on the 3800 series II.

oh I think that is what it is cause when I took it out today 1-2 WOT shift takes like at least 3/4 of a sec which is alot longer than my car?

my suggestion is: get an extended warranty on it, fast.
century warranty services is a really good company for this, they finance their plans at 0%

id get a 0 deductible policy, most problems show up when money'* tight.

a trans flush might be in order tho, but last i heard these transmissions were supposed to be good for life with no service required, so it shouldnt be acting up at 37k (not that i condone leaving a trans alone for hundreds of thousands of miles, thats suicide)
