3100 v6 spark plug resistance for each cyl.

So sometimes people may mix up the spark plug wires but here is a question what about lengths to the cylinders? 3 long wires which go to cyl 2,4,6 then there is the other 3 short wires which goto cyl 1,3,5 (short but three different lengths)

so does any one have a diagnosis chart that shows the total amount of resistance the cyl 1 wire should have? Or the cyl 2 wire? etc FOR THE V6 3100 3.1l Engine

This would make sure the right length wire gets on the right cyl.

since most know how to read a distribute coil and the cylinder order in the block the rest is cake. its the specific resistance values for each cylinder I want to know. That ultimately can tell you if your wire is bad or if its too long for the cylinder. Also usefull for creating custom wire sets.

0"-15" wire is 3,000 to 10,000 ohms
15"-25" is 4,000 to 10,000 ohms
25"-35" is 6,000 to 20,000 ohms

Over 35" is 6,000 to 25,000 ohms

I may have not been clear in my question. What is the actual resistance value for the wire that fits on the number one cyl.? and the number 2,3 etc.

or the in other words how do I know how long the wire is or should be.

The resistance does not need to be exact, and as far as I know different wires can have different resistance values, as long as it is in spec per stated spec values.

Do you want somebody to remove their OE wires and measure each, then give you those values?
I doubt you will have the same resistance per wire, even if they have the same brand of wire as you, there are a few variables that come into play, like the brand of wire, the age/condition of the wire, as well as length.

Sorry if that does not help, but the variable resistance values I gave you were form a factory manual for that motor, there are no set exact resistance values that I know of.

I see what you are saying, I was wondering if there were specs for each cyl. that would also help determine the accurate length of the wire based on the wires resistance profile or resistance per foot. If it is not documented then I suppose the only way would be to get some GM spark plugs from the company that have the firing order/cylinder number on the cable itself.

I got this from a web site selling oem wires. it only shows for cyl, 2,4,6 though. Is AC Delco considered OEM for GM?

Yeah AC Delco is OEM for GM, usually you see AC Delco, or if AC Delco did not make the part you occasionally see Delphi.

Another option would be the exact fit NGK wire set. I use them and they great now years later. There is a parts finder on the link too.
NGK Spark Plugs
Fact is that wires "dry or fry" out from engine /electrical heat and it really is a good idea to replace them every 4 - 5 years.
